Our company was founded in 1983 by Raymond Skelton who for over 20 years was responsible for the grounds at ICI Fibres in Harrogate. Still within family ownership, Ray Skelton have grown to be one of the largest horticultural service providers in North Yorkshire with responsibility for the maintenance of many prestigious sites.
Our particular focus is industrial and recreational landscaping as well as the maintenance of school grounds. Our clients include Government Departments, County and Local Councils, Country Estates, Golf Courses, Sports Grounds and Power Stations. We also maintain the majority of school grounds in North Yorkshire. In recent times we have undertaken a number of environmental projects including the creation of wildlife habitats and the landscaping of industrial and waste disposal sites. We have also worked with the Environment Agency on the creation of flood defences.
Ray Skelton take great pride in our work and our staff are trained to a high standard. We ensure they have the right tools for the job, including specialist equipment. Our staff are experienced in the use of agricultural chemicals and naturally we hold current approval and certification regarding the handling of substances and contaminants liable for control under COSHH waste disposal regulations.
We are available to undertake work throughout Yorkshire and the surrounding areas for both one-off projects or for long-term maintenance contracts. Whatever the job, we can help. |
